This is a collection of photos from the last seven years that spans my time as a dad, from Slim’s birth in February of 2004 up until the present.
These images also highlight two men that are very important to my children, and two men that have been very influential in who I am as both a father and a person: my dad (known as Papa Timmy to the shorties) and my father-in-law (Papa Mike).
There is also one photo with my Grandpa Lowery. Slim was the only of our four children who was able to meet one of his great-grandpas before they passed away. I wish they’d been able to meet them all, but I know that my Grandpa Lowery, Grandpa Nolan, and Grandpa McFadden as well as Kick Ass Wife’s Grandpa Mirich and Grandpa Harris look down on our crew and smile.
Sifting through seven years of photos this morning was one of the best presents I could have received on this day.
But to top it off, I got my own Pillow Pet: Snuggly Puppy. Boo-yeah, people!
Happy Father’s Day.

What za wonderful collection of photos. They tell the whole story don’t they? I was overseas a lot during that phase of my daughter’s lives, but I do have pictures. That’s not as good as being there.
Thanks. The “picture is worth a thousand words” thing has a little truth to it. Happy Father’s Day.
Great pictures Chase…thanks for sharing
What a cute family! (Well if Stacie were in some of them!) But it is your day today!!!
Thanks, Dawn.
Oh no! Not a pillow pet! Now you’ll never get anything done.
Seriously, I looked through the pictures and there are so many great ones I couldn’t pick a favorite. So many great moments you won’t ever want to forget. Thank the Lord for cameras.
On a totally random note, I almost named one of my children Nolan. But Doc and I arm wrestled and I lost. I started doing more upper body workouts after that.
You are truly Blessed. Happy Father’s Day!
Broke Snuggly Puppy in with his first nap this afternoon. Hellcat even settled down long enough to fall asleep on my chest. Nice Father’s Day.
Funny you considered having a Nolan. That was our no-doubt first name. The other three weren’t as easy.
KAW and I are really enjoying your new site, Annie (Health Bent Life).
Oh, I’m so glad to hear that! I wasn’t sure how it was going really. So much to add, so little time. So many kids on my lap, in my hair, and buzzing in my ears.
Dang, I need to get me a pillow pet. So jealous.
Nolan is a great name.
We’re really trying to revamp the food offerings around our house. Just developing new habits.
Tax Credit #4 already horned in on my Snuggly Puppy. And he had that look in his eye that said, “Don’t touch.”
You write well. But the pictures say even more today, don’t they?
Happy Father’s Day, eh?
Thanks, eh.
Happy Father’s day, Chase. Love the pics. The 2nd one from the top is my favorite, followed by the one with the baby chillaxing in the pool- awesome photo!
Thanks. Slim was about 18 months when we hit the pool at my aunt and uncle’s house in Texas. I laugh every time I look at that picture.
What a wonderful journey through photographs. Absolutely stunning.
Thanks for sharing and hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day.
Thanks. It was a great day.
Fantastic in every way.
My very favorite pictures are of the “daddy and baby sleeping” variety.
No love greater. No peace more enviable.
Glad you had a great day.
Now that right there looks like a bunch of great memories – and you’ve only scratched the surface…
Happy Father’s Day. Hope you already have drool on your Pillow Pet.
Wow, great pics. Thanks for sharing these. What did you name your pillow pet? You’re not sticking with Snuggly Puppy are you?
I think my favourite is the one of Slim walking with his Grampy in the water at the beach…
Happy Belated Father’s Day, Chase…you’re one of the most dedicated fathers I know!
Wendy
Thanks, Wendy.
